Email Segmentation
One of my key strategies for achieving success lies in maximizing the potential of existing connections. Many companies maintain multiple databases where valuable information is scattered. By consolidating this data into a single source, we uncover numerous interested contacts with whom communication may have been unintentionally dropped.
During my tenure at John Crane, I spearheaded the transition of the international marketing team from the Act-On email platform to Mailchimp. In addition, I introduced a shift away from Sales team-generated email lists, which often consisted of limited contacts, to carefully crafted segments that I personally developed. By integrating contact information from various marketing, sales, and training technology stacks, I meticulously tagged each contact with relevant criteria. As a result, our email audiences not only became more robust, but they also seamlessly aligned with their respective business interests.
By employing these comprehensive and refined segmentation strategies, we were able to deliver highly targeted and personalized email campaigns, resulting in improved engagement and conversion rates.
